What is Balance Sheet?
A balance sheet is a financial statement showing what a company owns (assets), what it owes (liabilities) and the difference (shareholders’ equity) on a specific date.
Why it matters
It shows financial strength: how much debt a company carries, how much cash it holds and how much value belongs to shareholders. Read it alongside the income statement and cash flow statement.
