What is Stock Split?
A stock split increases the number of a company’s shares and lowers the price per share in proportion. In a 2-for-1 split, you receive two shares for each one you hold, each worth half as much.
Why it matters
A split does not change the company’s value or your total holding. It simply makes each share cheaper to buy.
